We want to make a difference to the social and economic well-being of the local communities we operate in and the IT industry in general through our daily business activities, public events and charitable activities.
We believe in openness and in the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in every engagement, conducting our business fairly and in the most considerate way possible. This is embedded in our corporate values, specifically in our value – Delivering Our Promises – “We don’t let our clients, partners & peers down, as they must have complete trust & confidence in us. Delivering our promises, clear communication, and being ethical & impartial is at the heart of everything we do”.
Each year our employees choose the charities that we support through donations and the fantastic fund raising activities that our employees take part in and run throughout the year. From marathons and cake sales to cycling endurance and sky dives, we are dedicated to supporting charities close to our hearts and those most in need in our local communities.
We have just introduced a new volunteering program that spans our global organisation. Each member of our team will be able to spend a day a year supporting a charity or local community project of their choice. Whether that’s fundraising for a charity close to their hearts, contributing to a local community or environmental project, we are giving our team the opportunity to make a real difference in the areas where we operate and in the communities we live in. We are committed to giving something back. In future newsletters we will highlight the fantastic work our employees have done in their communities.
The continuing professional development of our employees is a core business strategy. This is absolutely critical when providing exceptional levels of client and partner service and best practice. Livingstone Group’s team regularly attend professional, vocational and technical training courses provided by a range of bodies, partner organizations and leading industry vendors.
Since we were established we have developed young talent from the local areas where we operate through our Apprenticeship and Graduate Programs, building their skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications to the highest levels. Taking on apprentices and graduates each year has represented a significant investment and commitment in terms of time, budget and administration, but we feel this is an important initiative in our strategy to invest in young people for careers in IT and Technology.
Public Sector organisations are under pressure to deliver rapid digital transformation during a period of serious financial constraint. We work with all areas of the Public Sector supporting their IT operations, procurement and leadership with advanced ITAM services, delivering real outcomes including cost savings and value for taxpayer’s money.
Our group’s services can be procured through the UK Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Digital Marketplace on the G-Cloud 11 and Digital Outcomes & Specialists 3 frameworks. For more information please visit the CCS Digital Market Place.
We are thrilled to announce that we have recently partnered with the world-renowned site of World War Two codebreaking and the birthplace of modern-day computing, Bletchley Park. Our partnership with the internationally-revered heritage attraction will promote STEM education and research, and will help preserve the historical codebreaking site for visitors to learn about technology pioneers and the technological challenges of today. Nearly half of all businesses (46%) reported a cyber breach or attack in the past 12 months (Cyber Security Breaches Survey, Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport) and this is increasing. So the need to tackle cyber crime has never been greater, it undermines confidence in our communications technology and in our ability to do business and it costs businesses billions every year. For the latest advice on best practice to protect your business, we recommend visiting the Cyber Aware website for more information.
